AM I ENTITLED TO AN INHERITANCE?

A family member just ped away. We all live in the same town in florida. This family member owned 50% of a corporation and other ets. I an a few others were listed as heirs to share equally between us. Someone told me a business corporation won't go towards the heirs because of some legal issues and it will go to someone else. Now I am not familiar with these laws, basically I wan't to know if I am really entitled to receiving part of the corporation, mind the fact I was included in the will and the business wasn't specifically left for a specific person.
