Ok i have a 2002 2.4l caviler?

it will start but then die it will only stay running if i continue to use starting fluid soon as i quit spraying it dies i am getting fuel to the engine and someone told me to check my spark because it can be ignited easer and when i check i didnt have good spark so is this what could be causing this
