Why doesn't the BCS just take a look at this years Super Bowl and realize how dumb their system is?

Its harder to have a playoff when considering there are about 119 IA teams out there. If a smaller school wants in a championship, they have to create a legacy(which I do acknowldege is unfair). Besides, in NCAA, playoffs start in August or September.
