What should I talks about in my WW2 Speech?

I'm in 8th grade and I was igned the topic of "The Common Soldier of WW2." Now I have no idea what to talk about, since there are not a lot of "common soldier stories." I don't want my speech to be too boring or tedious, but has to be informational and smooth. Right now, I have some information on the food rations of soldiers and 2 small interviews of a soldier of Japan and America fighting the battle of Iwo Jima. Please advise me on what information I should include. This speech has to be 5-8 minutes long btw.
